Wow!!!! Was visiting family for the New Year and they decided to take us here What a really cool place Could tell by the walls i was in college town Walking down the stairs to a pizzeria was a first as there arent many basements in Calif Guy working the front was polite and very friendly Ordered a 16" "pie" as its refer and i must say, it was an outstanding pizza compared to what we get back home. Reminded me of the days working in my uncles pizza place Lots of toppings and you wont need to order extra cheese they seem to have that covered already So if your in the neighborhood give it a try But beware im sure when the college is in session this place could get quite busy but imo it would be worth the wait Thanks "The Pie Pizzeria" for something that is sorely missing in calif, good pizza!

Can't go wrong eating underground in a NY style restaurant. This place is always a cool staple. The pizzas are huge and tasty. Love the chicken bacon ranch. Cool artwork, being a sharpy and sign the walls. Good for groups. We had 20 and they did fantastic with us.

This pizza is pretty amazing. The atmosphere is cool. I had a really good time here. Do not waste your time going to the pie on 33rd and State as I've been there twice and it is not good.

Very fun experience. Love coming here with friends and family! Food is outstanding and prices are pretty affordable.

It is a little expensive but worth the price once in a while. It was very clean and a very fun atmosphere. The pizza was amazing. The staff was average, you feel like they want to be somewhere else. It is definitely worth a try if you never been here before.

This place was so delicious. It's way less than the "fancy" pizza we have back home and much more enjoyable. The only drawback I can see for some is that the cheese can slide off and it can be a bit greasy. But it's pizza. Deal with it. The flavor combos are delicious and the crust is soft but not underbaked. The vibe is cool. It's downstairs and gives an underground bar vibe for college students or whoever.

I think it's funny how people feel they have to justify five star ratings for the pie. I guess you need to know what you are getting into, and maybe it's not for everyone. This is not thin crust artisan pizza, though they do have some fun and different doughs and pizza combinations to choose from, and I guess you could ask for light cheese, but why would you? This is old school, yes a little greasy, cheese stretching, pepperoni stacked high and deep, fill you up in just one or two slices pizza goodness. It is a gut bomb and it is the best pizza ever. Our go to is just a pepperoni pizza, the pepperoni is stacked, and I do mean stacked, under the cheese. The crust is on the thicker side but always fresh. My kids will fight you for the crust as it makes an awesome breadstick after you eat the cheese and toppings part from your slice. We dip it in their ranch dressing which is the best Ranch Dressing I've ever had, it's a little garlicky, but ask for a side and dip your crust in it and you'll become a believer too. Cheese pull Sparta are great, calzones are great, the salads we've ordered here are great. But the pizza is what people come here for. And the underground is so much fun and brings back college memories of great times.

Low key Pizza and Beer spot. Located at the University, ton of vegan options. Pizza was great. Beer selection was average.
